Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, starting with NASA, the Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of space tourism. Kristin was raised in the sector of space, as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years she's covered space policies under Biden and Trump Administrations on FOX News. She also covered the presidential election in 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the vice president and president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Before being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin used her experience in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films and was a favorite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism which she received at Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
